Town Hall, Seattle - Saturday, November 9, 2013
Presented by Town Hall as part of the Arts & Culture series in partnership with the University of Washington School of Music, Morton Subotnick and Berlin-based video artist Lillevan gave a preternatural audio visual performance of Subotnick's 1967 work Silver Apples of the Moon.

During the introduction Subotnick explained why the performance wasn't an exact reproduction of the work, which would have been impossible without "plugging a tape recorder in", but instead would take advantage of the new technologies introduced since the original recording was made, with an emphasis on Ableton's Live software and new hardware from Buchla, with whom Subnotick collaborated with in the 60's on development of some of the very first modular synthesizers.
